Justice for DJ // 018

A suicide is frantically called into 911 from a rural trailer in Flintstone, Georgia in October of 2016. 27-year old Donald “DJ” Fickey, Jr. is dead, the result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. But as DJ’s immediate family begins piecing together the last moments of his life - they quickly realize his death was no suicide. A Private Investigator soon joins their quest for justice, and his investigation quickly reveals a tangled web of systemic negligence, bias, and a coordinated cover up among the primary witnesses. The key to cracking the case wide open remains untested and locked away in a police evidence room to this day.

A special thank you to DJ's older sister Amanda Shirley and Private Investigator Eric Echols (TFP Company, LLC) for their participation and contributions to this episode.
